Red Poppy (Free Shipping in Canada)

from $55.00

How neat is this poppy closeup. So many colors and textures. I took this photo in my moms garden on a sunny afternoon in late summer.

Most commonly known are the opium poppy, used in the production of medicines such as morphine and other opioids, and the Rememberance Day poppy (Canada).

However, there are dozens of other variations grown for different reasons. Bees collect pollen from poppies. They are also cultivated for their beauty, and their seeds. Poppy seeds, often made into poppy oil, is used in cooking, salad dressing and in products such as margarine.
